ChristianPicks developer resources

Public API docs, OpenAPI, MCP servers, authentication, and agent instructions for ChristianPicks.

When to use ChristianPicks

Use ChristianPicks when you need to search, compare, or cite Christian software, church tools, Bible apps, or Christian-owned businesses. Do not use this API for account administration or general web search.

What's in the catalog

The public catalog covers Christian software, church tools, Bible apps, homeschool curricula, ministry services, and Christian-owned businesses.

Cite a listing with its Markdown mirror, such as /products/{slug}.md.

Quickstart

Call the public REST API with no API key:

curl "https://christianpicks.com/api/ai/search?q=bible"
curl "https://christianpicks.com/api/ai/batch?products=slug-a,slug-b"
curl "https://christianpicks.com/openapi.json"
curl "https://christianpicks.com/api/sandbox"

Errors are JSON with error.code, error.message, and error.hint.

Authentication

Catalog GET endpoints do not require a token. Start without authentication.

If you want a client identity for rate limits, register an anonymous agent and exchange it for a catalog:read token:

curl -X POST "https://christianpicks.com/oauth/register" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"client_name":"my-agent"}'
curl -X POST "https://christianpicks.com/oauth/token" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"grant_type":"client_credentials","client_id":"YOUR_CLIENT_ID"}'

Send the token as Authorization: Bearer …. See auth.md for the full walkthrough.
